The very first Project Life post for 2012! This year, to avoid falling behind, I’m going to post both my photos and pictures of my album.
We had a really fun and busy first week of the year, but I had a major camera malfunction. I took tons of pictures with my Canon Rebel t2i, but when I sat down to order prints on Saturday night, I found that my SD card had deleted itself. After a bit of cursing and stomping around, I just used the pictures I did have, plus a few from my iPhone camera and made do.
I’m still ticked that all my cute pictures (especially from my niece’s birthday party!) are gone, but I think it turned out alright anyway.
I also included a piece of the package from some clementine “cutie” oranges because we’ve been eating those like crazy this week.
A closer look at the other page:
Here are the pictures I used this week. I used two from our hike on New Year’s Day since so many of my others got deleted.

A birthday shot. Oh, and in case you didn’t see, I made a 30 by 30 list of things I want to accomplish before I turn 30!
This is actually a screen shot from the video of my next flight lesson so it’s not the best quality, but still really fun. My instructor had just told me that maybe I needed a cushion to sit on since I couldn’t see out the front very well. I wanted to be offended, but it was true.
Week 1 complete, not perfect, but complete. Here’s to no more camera trouble next week!

LOVE the flight lesson picture!
Thanks, it’s lots of fun!
I deleted my camera card before, I found a website that allowed me to download some software and it was able to recover all my pictures and then some. You might try looking online. I think we paid $30, it was worth it to me, because it had some pictures of Mackenzie right after she was born and of our dog who had passed away.
Good luck!
I’ll look for that. Thanks for the tip, Morgan!
Great first week. You guys were busy! What a shame about the camera card..
I’m using Clementine this year too and I really like it. I have divided the cards into the ‘blues’ & the ‘oranges’ and will do each page in either colourway.
Thanks for popping into my blog, I will look forward to seeing what else you do this year.
Oh that will be neat to separate them that way. I’ll look forward to seeing how that goes!
Yay for complete! I’m doing the digital one this year, but really want to do the ‘real’ one next time around!
I thought I would do the digital version last year, but then just ended up doing nothing. I feel like this way keeps me accountable better…… we’ll see!
I love your pictures for the week!! My favorite is of you blowing out your candles!! Your layout looks great and I look forward to seeing your layouts each week:)
Thanks Christy! I’m really having fun with it this year.
So great. It is looking good. Hope you have a great week. I am doing the Project 366 link up this year if you want to join.
Yes! I’d forgotten, but I will do that right now!
