Project Life: January 15-21

by Emily on January 24, 2012

Well, hello Week 3 of Project Life!

The Mom Creative

I’m really having fun with this project, and I’m glad I chose to do the album version instead of the digital.  I’m sure the digital route is a good option, but we’ve been keeping our album-in-progress in the living room and Miles already loves looking through the pictures and talking about the things we did during the week. I love that.

So this week I kept it simple. I used seven pictures and wrote on the cards. That’s it.  Next week I’ll have a lot more material since Patrick is gone on his trip, but I like the mix.

The full spread:

A closer look at the first page:

Top photo: Patrick and Miles have been having a blast playing with RC helicopters this week. Miles begs for Daddy to get them out as soon as he gets home.

Bottom Photos: (L) Monday I broke down and went to the doctor. One diagnosis of a sinus infection and a prescription for an antibiotic later and I’m on the mend.  (R) We got a fixed 50mm lens this week and I’ve been loving it.

A closer look at the second page:

Top photos: (L) Having a tall dog isn’t so great sometimes. Macey snagged a few of the cooling cookies before I could stop her! (R) See? Another helicopter.

Bottom photos: (L) Miles has his finger up his nose ALL THE TIME now. Nasty.  (R) This picture is another perfect representation of Miles right now. He likes to line his trains up and name them all and try to count them.

Be sure to check out The Mom Creative for more Project Life inspiration!

Thanks Megan! In 2010 I used a day overlay on all my pics, but I’m liking just using one here or there this time.

I’m finding that if I keep the album out my son will flip through it as well! Your layouts look great, simple and clean!

Isn’t that the best? That’s exactly why I decided against digital. We have something to look at all year!

I love the picture of Miles laying down with his trains! I need to do a post on Nora’s artwork – she has one of 4 people. I thought it would be our family (me, Walt, Nora, and Will) but she told me its me, Walt, Nora and MILES! haha – we need to get together soon :)

Hahaha! Poor Melissa, left out of your own family. That is pretty funny though.

Love how so many kids love to line things up. I’m sure I did as a child. Hmm. Still love to line things up!

I know! I think my boy might be a little OCD like his mama. :)

Miles is adorable! I think I have a sinus infection too! I have had three rounds of antibiotics since December and I get something different every time. Working with 6 year olds and our crazy weather doesn’t help either! Hope you are feeling better!

Boo for sickness. I’m seeing lots of pics of medicine on PL posts though… just that time of year I guess.

I really like those too! Just a fun way to spice up a sort of boring photo.

Great layout this week! I love how some weeks can be simpler than others…and that is OK by me! The cars all lined up is a great picture! Love how you captured what he does…while he’s doing it! They move so darn fast! Hope the meds have kicked in and you are feeling better!!!!!

Yes, most of my pics are a blur of Miles!

We’re all (knock on wood) feeling much better around here.
